LIP BLUSH can also be beneficial for people with scarring, naturally uneven lip shapes and/or colours as well as hyper/hypo pigmentation.
A customised colour is mixed for each client, based on skin type, undertones, existing lip shade and desired outcome.
Whether you have the desire to never have to reapply lipstick, gain the cupid’s bow you’ve always dreamt of or the perfect shape without having to constantly top up on filler or makeup, Lip Blush is the thing you didn’t you know you wanted (needed)..
good-to-know info
2x sessions, 6-12 weeks apart are required to consider your Lip Blush *finished/completed*.
Cosmetic tattoos follow a two-step process and the general approach of “we can add, but we cannot take away” when it comes to working on such delicate features on faces. Touch up sessions are really beneficial for layering pigment for more colour saturation. We can also adjust the colour and shape if needed.
Touch ups must be completed within 2-4 months from the original session for best results.COLOURS:
Bring your favourite go-to lip makeup and/or example photos of colours that you like to your appointment. This gives us a starting point to build from and helps to ensure your desired results are achieved.Maintenance/Colour Boost sessions: Recommended for every 1-3, sometimes even 5+ years after their initial (two) sessions are completed.
This will cary based on your chosen colour, style and aftercare.COLD SORES / HSV (herpes simplex virus): If you have ever experienced cold sores, even just once, you MUST take anti-viral preventive medication on the day or minimum 1 day prior to receiving Lip Blush.
Failure to do so can risk an outbreak that may affect the healed result. Please consult your gp/pharmacist for official info before taking any medication.

AFTER CARE
Immediately after your session:
Brighter, bolder, warmer colour/slight swelling are 100% normal and are to be expected as part of the initial stages of healing a new tattoo, particularly on the mouth. This intensity will settle within 3-5 days post session.
The vibrancy of your lip blush tattoo will fade approximately 40-50% once healed, from how you leave your appointment, revealing a soft and natural blushed shade once healed. Full healing time is 6 weeks.
The sensation can be comparable to a light sunburn. Minimal-mild flaking will take place around day 2-3.
DO NOT PICK AT YOUR LIPS! Refrain from removing the flakes as you risk of removing pigment in the process. It is highly important to keep your lips adequately hydrated during the first few days, use only the provided balm with a cotton tip or sanitised hands as regularly as needed, being careful not to over or under do it. Remember to keep yourself hydrated with plenty of water too!
Avoid smoking
Avoid hot/spicy/salty foods for 48 hours post tattoo
Avoid swimming/tanning of any kind/teeth whitening/rubbing or picking/smoking/cosmetic products on unhealed lips.
Kissing, people and pets - should be totally avoided while healing to prevent infection and loss of colour.
LONG TERM CARE
Keep your lips hydrated and moisturised for best results and to keep your colour looking vibrant
Avoid all laser treatments near your tattoo (VERY important)
The skin in the centre of the lips is the thinnest with the highest cell turnover and will usually begin to lighten first due to natural exfoliation.
Lip filler can disperse the colour saturation and make the overall result appear lighter (similar to a balloon being blown up).
Touch ups/Colour boost are recommended 1-3 years after initial sessions.
SPF and sun protection are a tattoos best friend for longevity!
frequently asked questions
How do I choose a colour?
The first half of your session is spent designing your shape and colour collaboratively with your artist before progressing to the next step. Bring your favourite go-to lip makeup and/or example photos of colours that you like to your appointment. This gives us a starting point to build from and helps to ensure your desired results are achieved.
2x sessions are completed 6-12 weeks apart. At your touch up/perfecting session we have the option of altering the colour or making it more intense, so we always work with a “we can add, but we cannot take away” approach
When should I get lip filler around my appointment?
We recommend scheduling lip filler a minimum of 4 weeks before or after your lip blush session
Does it hurt?
Most clients will rate the discomfort of Lip Blush a 1-4/10 depending on a few factors like fatigue, menstrual cycle and general pain tolerance. A lot of people fall asleep during their session!
How long does it take to heal?
Healing time is between 3-5 days for most clients! The total healing phase into the deeper layers of the skin takes 6-12 weeks, at this time your colour will be fully settled into the skin
How many sessions are needed?
A minimum of 2 sessions spaced 6-12 weeks apart are required to consider your Lip Blush fully completed, though those who are after an extra natural result may be happy with one session.
Annual colour boost sessions are recommended between 1-5 years and will vary depending on skin type and selected colour.
